How importing a car from the USA works
Every car we export follows the same path — here's exactly what happens, what it costs and how long it takes.
-
1. Choose & verify the car
You send a VIN or lot number, or a make/model/budget. We pull the auction condition report, photos, title type and the sold-price history of similar cars so there are no surprises.
-
2. Landed cost, up front
Before bidding we run the import calculator: auction fees, US inland delivery, ocean freight and your country's customs. You approve a maximum bid.
-
3. We bid & win
We place the bid through our own US auction access at Copart or IAAI. You don't need a US dealer licence or a broker account — that's our side.
-
4. Pay & collect the title
The vehicle is paid at the auction, the title is collected and export paperwork is prepared.
-
5. US logistics & loading
The car is picked up from the auction yard, delivered to the export port and loaded — shared container (cheapest), sole container or RoRo.
-
6. Ocean freight & customs
Shipping to your port, then customs clearance at destination. You get container tracking the whole way and the full document set on arrival.
